About Your Consultation at Rollar Oral Surgery
Your initial appointment to Rollar Oral Surgery in Conway, SC will consist of a consultation during which Dr. Rollar will explain your diagnosis and treatment options.
Preparing for Your Consultation
To ensure your first appointment goes smoothly, it’s best to complete and the new patient forms about one week prior to your visit. This will give our team has time to review and verify insurance, so we can be prepared to discuss insurance coverage and costs.
Please review the following list of items to bring with you.
- Valid Photo ID
- Referral Slip – Please bring this with you if you were referred.
- Insurance Cards – If you have medical or dental insurance, bring the valid cards with you.
- Complete List of Medications – Bring a list of medications you’re taking and the dosage of each (if what you provided on your new patient paperwork was incomplete or if anything may have changed since you completed the paperwork).
- X-rays/CT Scans – If your dentist or physician provided you with either, please bring them.
- Parent or Guardian – Patients who are under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
During Your Consultation, the Oral Surgeon Will:
- Review your health records and referral notes
- Examine and evaluate your mouth, jaw, or affected area
- Discuss symptoms or concerns
- Take or review dental x-rays or 3D imaging
Personalized Treatment Planning
Based on your evaluation, the surgeon will create a customized treatment plan. This includes:
- Recommended procedures
- Anesthesia / Sedation
- Risks, benefits, and recovery expectations
- Pre-op and post-op instructions
Scheduling Your Procedure
After your treatment plan is finalized, you may schedule your surgery.
