Meet Dr. Thomas F. Rollar Jr., DMD

Dr. Thomas F. Rollar is a highly respected and board-certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon serving patients throughout Conway, Myrtle Beach, and the Grand Strand region of South Carolina. Known for his extensive experience, compassionate approach, and commitment to clinical excellence, Dr. Rollar has become a leading name in oral surgery across the Horry County area.

Originally from Point Pleasant, New Jersey, Dr. Rollar grew up in the Bloomfield area before pursuing his undergraduate education at McGill University in Montreal, Quebec. He earned his dental degree from the New Jersey Dental School in Newark and completed his residency training at Mountainside Hospital in Montclair, NJ. Dr. Rollar then went on to specialize in oral and maxillofacial surgery at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, where he served as Chief Resident.

With over two decades of surgical expertise, Dr. Rollar is board-certified in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and also holds certification from the National Dental Board of Anesthesiology. His comprehensive skill set spans dental implants, wisdom teeth removal, corrective jaw surgery, bone grafting, and facial trauma care.

Dr. Rollar is an active member of several prestigious professional organizations, including the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, the Southeastern Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, and the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology. He is a past president of the Grand Strand Dental Society and is deeply committed to advancing the field through education. As an instructor at Horry-Georgetown Technical College, Dr. Rollar teaches head and neck anatomy and serves on the college’s advisory board.

In addition to his private practice, Dr. Rollar is on staff at Grand Strand Regional Medical Center, Conway Medical Center, and South Strand Medical Center, where he works closely with multidisciplinary teams to provide the highest level of care to patients in need of surgical treatment.
